A Journey Through Wes Anderson’s Aesthetic at 180 Studios
With stills, costumes, and scenery from the movie, the French Dispatch exhibition at 180 Studios is a celebration of Wes Anderson’s aesthetic. The exhibition features real props, artwork, miniatures, and costumes, culminating in a working recreation of the film’s cafe, Le Sans Blague. Arranged into the layout of the films titular and fictional publication – the exhibition takes you through from the Cycling Reporter, across its Arts and Culture pages, through Politics and finishing with its Food pages in a display of the film’s (and the directors) unique aesthetic. As you go through the exhibition, you get a feel for each of the characters in their own world in the story of the film.
